“Virtual Real Estate Investing” is a relatively new concept. There are many variations on what this term means, encompassing everything from using the internet to aid in real estate investing efforts to participating in online games such as SecondLife.
In order to figure out the truth of the matter, I sought out Bryan Ellis, whose experience in the fledgling industry is truly impressive.
When I began using the term virtual real estate investing in the late 1990s, I did so because I saw clear parallels between the strategies used for profiting from physical real estate and those that would create income in the online world, said Ellis.
An example of the similar nature of “virtual” and “physical” real estate Bryan Ellis likes to point out is the methods of making a profit from domain names compared to physical real estate. He points out that control of a domain name or even a specific web page is much like controlling a real estate property ” those assets can be monetized in similar ways: By selling them for a profit, by leasing them, by offering advertising, etc.
The parallels really are obvious. Consider: A valuable piece of real estate is valuable largely due to the interest that other people have in that specific location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. Regardless of the type of asset, you can sell or lease or use any number of strategies to turn the assets into cash.
In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing., Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

The unitive approach to coaching is not based on any pre-conceived theory or set of beliefs. It has evolved organically over a period of years as a result of my own long experience in the field of personal and professional development.
In 1971 I began working with Dr Jay Stattman, the director of the Institute of Unitive Psychology at Utrecht, The Netherlands, where I subsequently became an associate staff member, setting up human potential courses, seminars and training facilities all over Europe.
The unitive coaching process represents a comprehensive tutorial framework within which a valid individual authenticity can be built. It provides a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of personal and professional self-empowerment and the development of insight, true awareness and authentic interpersonal communication.
Basic principles of Unitive coaching
The unitive approach to the process of self-discovery is not only eminently practical but also covers every aspect of the whole person.
- At the rational level, it works experientially to bring to awareness obsolete and redundant patterns of acquired behaviour
- At the emotional level it seeks to reconcile spontaneous feelings with intellectual insight
- At a psychological level, it aims to empower individuals with self-knowledge and the strength of their unique authenticity
- At the higher, integrated level of intuition, its goal is to facilitate personal development on issues of imagination, spirit and creativity
Unitive coaching in practice
The first requirement for those who intend to communicate effectively in an honest and open dialogue with other people is that they are up to speed with their own developmental homework. To act authentically as an effective resource to others on their individual pathways through life, you first need to be thoroughly conversant with your own home territory. You can’t take anyone further than you’ve travelled yourself.
There’s an old saying that goes, “We don’t see the world as it is; we see it as we are”. You’ll never be able to see what’s really going on in the present if your attitudes and patterns of behaviour remain stuck in the past, with your eyes staring at an unchanging inner landscape. If you want to become aware of who you really are – to start feeling comfortable in your own skin – you’ll need to examine your own habitual outlook on life; discover its hidden and negative function, and work to bring it up to date and relevant to present reality. It’s a demanding and often difficult task, but you’ll find the rewards are enormous.
Personal authenticity is all about experiencing each event in life in the light of present reality, instead of through the distorting mirrors of the past. This will necessarily involve you in what might at first appear to be a frightening thing to do. In order to access your innate sources of personal wisdom, you’ll need first to let go of those bits of your previously acquired stuff that’s now become useless – to cast off your old protective clothing and immerse yourself completely in whatever new experience life may come up with.
Once you’ve become part of that experience, your entire being – mind, body and spirit – will become an instrument for opening up receptive channels of communication between your own true responses and those of the people who share your present environment. Instead of trying to influence events from the outside, you’ll find you’ve become an integral part of them. It’s a magical process: experiencing the power of the present instead of just observing it.
Within yourself you have the potential to integrate your internalised conflicts into a unitive whole, greater than the sum of its separate parts.
Unitive coaching provides a level playing field where coach and client face each other as equals. Instead of assuming a directive role, it identifies the true nature of the personal authenticity and power habitually surrendered to ‘experts’ and authority figures and brings it back home where it belongs.
The ultimate goal of unitive coaching is to facilitate this liberating insight. The true purpose of human existence is to accept and to commit to present reality and the inevitable imperfections of life and all who live it.
…and in that very imperfection, each individual can experience the truth and beauty of authentic being and the possibility of spontaneous change.

In today’s advanced medical climate, cures for some of the world’s most life-threatening diseases seem a heartbeat away. That it is why it is so important for all of us to do what we can in order to promote fund raising and donations for research. The latest trend in such promotion is awareness jewelry. An effective medium of fashion-forward charity work, awareness jewelry offers a chic and cost effective way to show you care.
Some of the most popular items in the collection are those designed to increase breast cancer awareness. Breast Cancer Awareness Pins are an excellent example. A sophisticated and elegant lapel pin. Some feature dozens of beautiful pink Swarovski crystals. The lapel pin is an easy way to show your support and spread awareness.
The Breast Cancer Loop is another very popular piece of awareness jewelry. The great thing about this product is its versatility. It can be used as a purse or briefcase charm as well as an ornament for the car, diaper bag or even Christmas tree. Featuring handsome pink and clear Swarovski crystals and a Bali silver awareness ribbon, this tiny bracelet is as practical as it is beautiful.
Perhaps the most popular of all, however, is the Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet. Featuring sterling silver, pink Swarovski crystals and delicate pearls, this bracelet is ideal for the individual who wants to keep the cause close to her heart. The toggle clasp is designed with a sterling silver ribbon charm to further promote awareness.

What is it that you need to do in order to be successful in your endeavor?
One way to find out is to write a daily “To do list”. This “To do list” will supplement your goal settings. It will simplify yours steps towards achieving your long term goal(s).
You can write your “To do list” while having breakfast or perhaps before going to bed the night before. TIP: Writing a list before you go to bed not only will appease your mind for a good night sleep but will also start your day with a purpose (this is the motivation part!)
Example: The goal I will be working on for the next 3 weeks (it is said that it takes that long to change a habit, good or bad!), will be to regularly organize my home office (always a problem!).
This is the list I would write the night before (keeping in mind my main goal)
Pick up dry cleaning
Renew house insurance
Phone Jim re: B-day party
Mail out monthly invoice
Archive file folder starting with letter A to C (if my goal would have been to lose a few pounds, I might have written go for a 20 min. walk or jog etc.)
The more specific your daily list the greater you will achieve. Make it achievable not unreachable, thus the daily “To do list”, to break down your goal into smaller steps. Keep it Simple yet Meaningful till you reach your goal.
Always prioritize.
To finalized my “To do list”, I like to enumerate the task in priorities or by rationality. If I am going out I might as well do everything on my list that requires driving. And you guessed, the priority in this case, would be to archive my filing cabinet (this in any case would have to be done in order for this “To do list” to be successful). And if by the end of the day, you did not cross out everything on your list, don’t beat yourself up! You might have wanted to do too many things in one day – Be flexible, adjust accordingly. Write it down for the following day until it’s crossed out.
This useful technique will motivate you to stay focused on your goal. You will also feel like you have achieved a part of your goal, you will be thrilled and proud. Trust me.
Want more? Do you need a little motivation? Inspiration? A motivational quote will not only boost your energy but can also help you stay focused on your goals. Motivational quotes also have the power to rewrite negative thoughts. Motivational quote, tips, articles, recommendations, newsletter and more!

Added value is about giving more to your customers than they could possibly get anywhere else.
Most people today are value conscious. It’s not the price that matters most — it’s the value they get as a result, that makes your widget worthy of the price.
Give far more in use value to your customers… than you take from them in cash value. When you offer more with every purchase, the perceived value customers get from that purchase increases. It’s this added value that gives you a clear and distinct advantage over every other business selling similar products.
The idea here is to pump up the value of whatever it is you’re selling. Make it far more beneficial and worthwhile to the customer to buy from you. You want to make the buying decision a “no-brainer” in your favor because of the tremendous added value you offer.
Added value is as simple as throwing in additional premiums with each purchase. That might mean including a beautiful carrying case with every laptop… a chef’s apron to go along with that new pasta maker… or a quality tool belt with every power drill. Many such premiums are available in quantity from specialized suppliers and at attractive prices.
An easy and low cost way to create added value is to supply free printed reports, audiotapes, videos, or CD’s. The key is to provide timely and relevant information that the buyer will find extremely helpful. Hopefully it’s something he or she cannot find anywhere else as well.
Often these “extras” can be reproduced at a very low cost but the perceived value they add to a product can be worth one hundred times or more their actual costs.
A large part of effective copywriting is having a strong offer. The stronger your offer – the more appealing it is to prospects… and the greater your chances of making the sale. Many direct response experts concur that if you want to improve your results — improve your offer. A better offer means added value. Buyers get more goods for their money.
To find excellent examples of value-added marketing, look no further than your television screen. You can flip on your TV at any time of day or night and see plenty of illustrations of added value.
The Ginsu Knife has been successfully sold for years using this single concept. You don’t just get the one knife – you get several – all for one low price. “Buy the world famous Ginsu Deluxe and you also get this… and this…. and this… and if you order within the next 8 minutes, you’ll also get this special bonus accessory – absolutely free of charge!” The marketers of the Ginsu have sold millions of packages using this value added approach.
Book and CD clubs also use the added value concept to capture their share of this lucrative market. How do they win over customers who are used to buying their books and CD’s at the local mall? By offering tremendous value up front. “5 Books For $5″ or “Choose Any 3 CD’s FREE With Your First Order” are added value offers presented solely for the purpose of drawing in first time customers.
Virtually any business could create added value with simple information products. Create added value, “inside information” items that help your customers in some way. It could be how to get more from their new equipment… how to properly maintain that equipment so it lasts longer and operates trouble-free for years… or, how to use your new widget 37 different ways around the home or office.
Another option is to offer buyers related information they’re sure to be interested in. For example, a strawberry farm could offer a great recipe or two for delicious strawberry shortcake, pies, or tarts. It doesn’t take much to create a perceptual feeling of added value. This example is a simple, inexpensive and appropriate added value bonus.
Providing added value creates a win-win situation where everyone is pleased with the purchase. Your customers get more for their hard-earned dollars and they’re delighted to tell friends and associates about their positive experience. Added value brings in more referral business. You gain more loyal customers as word spreads about the extra advantages that only your company offers.
How can you increase the perceived value of your offer today? A little creative effort here can make your sales proposition much more irresistible… and an irresistible offer draws many more eager customers.

Financing for home improvements can also be considered housing costs. Housing costs is the term used to describe payments relating to your home improvement, which the financial institutions loan on the basis of your income statement. Not all of your housing costs will be met. Usually you will only be paid a standard rate of interest on mortgages, including second mortgages or other loans, which you are liable for and which were taken out in order to purchase or maintain your home.
You will not get any help with capital repayments or the cost of associated insurance premiums, including the insurance element of an endowment mortgage. If you have an endowment mortgage, it may be worth considering changing to a capital repayment mortgage, but you should seek advice first from one of the agencies. These agencies may also help you negotiate terms with your lender if you are unable to meet any shortfall between the payments due on your loan and the housing costs paid with your benefit.
The current rules on housing costs are far more stringent compared to previous years. However, if you have been claiming income-based finance continuously (apart from breaks up to 12 weeks, which are ignored) since then, your housing costs may be calculated in a different way. This is because of the fact that you may have been entitled to some transitional protection when the previous and more generous scheme was replaced.
The main change is that there is now a far longer waiting period before your full housing costs can be paid. Other significant changes include a standard rate of interest. Interest on arrears of interest, which accrue during the waiting period, or deferred interest accumulating under the terms of a low start mortgage, can no longer be met.

Your Biggest Enemy
The biggest enemy you have standing in the way of your success is not the French fries, ice cream or the scale- the biggest obstacle is your mind. If you are like me, you can talk yourself out of anything. If you give yourself anytime to think, you will come up with the stupidest, most illogical reasons NOT to get healthier and exercise.
The people who have successfully kept weight off, lowered their body-fat levels, and dropped their blood pressure are the ones who did not wait for the perfect time. There is no perfect time, but there can be big regrets.
From Denial to Desire
What does it mean to have deep desire for something?
Remember those feelings you had back when you wanted your first bicycle. That Barbie doll you made a fit over in the toy store in front of everyone. Or what about that girl or boy you would have done just about anything for? There was such a hunger, a burning in your gut. You couldn’t even think straight, eat or sleep because it occupied your every thought. You just had to have it!
Have Hope
Have hope! Acknowledging the reality of your life does not mean you have to give up hope. It can mean just the opposite, “A new, fresh beginning.” Many a people have done extraordinary things with nothing but a little bit of hope. Combine that with some faith and a deep desire to feel better, you may be surprised how your life will change.
Have an Open Mind
Have an open mind toward exercise and eating better, rather than resenting the actions. Accept the fact that life will not hand you a perfect situation. Learn that your self-worth is not based upon if you ask for help along the way.
We age, our metabolism slows down, and we are more prone to injuries as well as an illness. However, it does not have to be fatal or depressing if you exercise and eat better. The threesome of denial, pride and laziness will always be followed up by some unwanted consequence to your health. And things that make you resist exercise and eating right are only illusions you have created.
Have a Long-Term Attitude
If you want to go from denial to having a desire to exercise and feel better you are going to go at it with an all or nothing attitude. If you are going to start now, you have to start for good. The reality is you will have good attitude and bad attitude days for the rest of your life. But understand, if you are going to be healthier through exercise and eating, you are going to have to participate in some form of exercise till the day you die. This is not a temporary fix to a long-term problem; it is a lifestyle.
Take an “Inside-Out” Approach
It is really important to understand that in order to sustain a healthy lifestyle, you have to develop a positive type of mind set. Sure it looks great and feels great to have a well-shaped body on the outside. However, you will never win the aging battle if you think that all you have to do is work on the outside.
You will have a better chance of feeling better inside and outside if you have a deep desire to be healthy both physically and emotionally first! When your motives and desires come from the heart or “INSIDE-OUT”, then true health begins to grow. And if your physical appearance changes during the process, that is icing on the cake. Changing from the “INSIDE-OUT” is a concept or idea, a day-to-day mindset.
Maybe that is why those that change for the good are those who decide right then and there to do so? Maybe they are the ones who decide deep in there heart that waiting around for something bad to happen is just asking for trouble. They are the ones who ask themselves, “Why am I waiting?”

The Region has four distinct seasons but in general possesses a Mediterranean feel strongly influenced by the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea. Winters are short and cold (the snow and mountains providing spectacular scenery for the region’s ski resorts). Spring and autumn are long and warm while the summer is hot and dry.
Piemonte is home to some of the world’s most respected award winning wines such as Barbera, Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, and Asti Spumante among many others. The most widely grown grape is of the Nebbiolo variety which is used to produce the famous Barolo wine. The region is world famous for its white truffles which attract thousands of tourists each year to celebratory festivals during autumn, the most famous of which is held in Alba. We must not forget the great cheeses such as the Robiola (‘tuma’ as the locals call it) which is produced in the Langhe hills. The region is also well known for its hazelnuts which are sold in small craft shops specialising in the production of sweets using this traditional product.
Piemonte contains the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, Cuneo, Novara, Turin and Vercelli. The region forms part of an industrial triangle created by Milan Turin and Genoa.
Turin (Torino) is the regional capital and possesses many fine shops and museums of historical interest. The area has many famous towns such as Asti and Barolo which are world famous for its wines while Alba with its chic sophistication is home to the white truffle festival in autumn. The regions snow and mountains provide spectacular settings for its ski resorts such as Claviere, Sauze d’Oux and Sestriere (it is no coincidence that the winter Olympics are being held in Piedmont in 2006).
Property prices in Piemonte currently represent excellent value for money particularly the old traditional farmhouses which with the fast approaching winter games in Turin should make a good investment.
