Band and Performer Compensation
The Somber Reptile/Cajun Kitchen specialized in presenting live, original independent music. Therefore we do not have a built in audience. Our flavors of music vary drastically from day to day. Through showcases, parties and other promotional events we offer the opportunity for performers to increase their individual followings and sales of their music.
Initially, we pay performers on the following scale. Please note…once a performer establishes a sizable following, we offer full hospitality and compensation.
0-14 people…..no pay, this is the minimum needed to cover production expense
15-49 people…$2/person
50-99 people…$3/person
100+people……$4/person
The door price is generally $7 for over 21, $9 under 21. The door cost may fluctuate from time to time based on the individual event and the time of day it occurs.
We support the independent artist and do not levy any kind of merchandising cost on all sales. We will be very happy to accomidate any kind of merchandising area for the artists.
TIPS
Bands may pool their attendance numbers to get a higher payout. This arrangement must be done 2 weeks prior to the show. This encourages bands to cooperate.
DAY OF THE SHOW
Load In-Upon arriving, band representative must check immediately with the manager for check-in
1-confirm times and payment arrangements
2-document and confirm the color and number sequence of issued wristbands
3-arrange for special show particulars
Check-out
1-Confirm attendance and receive payment
2-Review show and discuss future booking

Merchandising
We support the independent artist and do not levy any kind of merchandising cost on all sales. We will be very happy to accommodate any kind of merchandising area for the artists.

Fri-Sat–$500
This buys the door….does not include sound and bar. Please inquire for other options. We offer catering, showcases and other promotions. The Lizard Lounge can also be rented for VIP parties or other functions.
